My name is Pamela Soderbaum.  I have been working in the South Hadley Public Schools since 2001.  I started my teaching career as a special education teacher at Michael E. Smith Middle School.  In 2008, I became the Educational Team Leader for the middle school.  During this time I received my CAGS in elementary education and reading.  In July 2013, my interest sparked in the area of administration, and I received my administrative licensure in the field of Special Education in 2014.  Although I continued to work in the district, my role became more administrative, and I worked under the direction of Kathleen Boyden, as the Supervisor of Student Services.  This was a great experience and allowed for several opportunities within the district I love.  In 2015, with the constraints of the budget, I returned to the classroom as a special education teacher at Mosier Elementary School.  My role at the school has been fulfilling and has allowed me to work in the area of early elementary.  I enjoy working with students on a daily basis, and the greatest reward is watching them learn and grow each day.  During my time at Mosier, I continued my education, and recently earned my Doctorate in Education.  This has been a life long dream of mine, and I am thrilled that I am fortunate to continue to teach in this district, as well as continue to grow in my journey as a life long learner.
