Let's continue with Chapter 10 in our Big Ideas Book:  Probability

The Answers to Yesterday's Suggested Work is Under the Assignment from Yesterday (See Yesterday's Tab)

For Today, Lets work in our Soft-Cover Book.  On pg. 209, Try activity 1A-Flipping a coin.  What did you notice?  Answer:  You should notice that there are only two outcomes, heads or tales.  With more flips, the number of heads and tales should be fairly close.  If you don't believe me-try flipping a quarter 100 times!!  Turn the results into fractions, decimals and percents.

Try Activity 3, A-D on pg. 210-Rocks/Paper Scissors.  What did you notice? Answer:  There are only 9 possible outcomes!  Having said that, one outcome, such as rock/papers, might come up slightly more often if there is a favorite option that a player keeps choosing.
