Unit 1: Intro to Psychology and Scientific Inquiry
Outrageous Celebrity Assignment
Prompt/Rationale:
Celebrities are constantly doing outrageous things… and many of us struggle to explain why they do the crazy things they do. For this project/presentation, you and a partner are going to use the 7 psychological perspectives you learned in Unit 1 to attempt to explain the outrageous behavior of a celebrity. The students should attempt to explain these behaviors from the point of view of each major psychology approach/perspective. The students’ reasoning can be as ridiculous as the behavior itself, as long as it falls in line with highlighting the psychological perspective.
So, your work on this project will help you meet the standard of learning the major approaches/perspectives of psychology.
