  • On April 21, 2020, under the existing state of emergency (declared on March 10, 2020), Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker announced that all public and private schools in MA will be closed for the remainder of the school year.  Please see the following email from Dr. Bonneville dated 4/21/20:

Dear Students, Families, Teachers and Staff:

Governor Baker just announced that all public and private schools in MA will be closed for the remainder of the school year. Recognizing that we are still in the grips of this pandemic, and we can’t ensure people’s safety, I believe this was the right direction. This doesn’t mean that summer vacation starts early- remote learning will continue as we have been doing. The state will offer guidance as to which “power standards” teachers should focus their attention, and additional resources from DESE will be forthcoming. Additionally, the School Committee has agreed to offer instructional technology support stipends to staff in order to offer assistance to parents and teachers in accessing the learning portal.

Less than half of the people in MA have filled out the census survey that was mailed to them. If you have not done so, please complete asap as this helps to inform the state on town funding for schools.

There are many unanswered questions at this time, such as how will graduations and orientations be held, when will field trip money be refunded, how students will clean out their lockers, will expectations change, etc. The administrative leadership team has been teleconferencing several times a week, and we promise to provide you answers as soon as possible. Stay safe and healthy!

    Thank you,
    Diana Bonneville
